Important news about Law Practice Management Software
2022. Legl, a SaaS for law firm workflows, tops up with $18M

London-based Legl, a SaaS startup born in 2019 with the rather ambitious mission of dragging the traditionally paperwork-laden legal world into the sleek, automated future, has just raised a jaw-dropping $18 million in a Series B round. Their cunning plan? To provide law firms with a one-stop shop of digital wizardry—tools for client onboarding, payments, compliance, and other thrillingly bureaucratic tasks—designed to whisk away the drudgery and let lawyers get back to the juicy bits of lawyering. Think of it as the legal equivalent of discovering an all-powerful AI butler who excels at filing, billing, and making sure everything stays blissfully compliant.
2021. Clio raises $110M for its SaaS law practice management software

Clio, a software company that helps law practices operate more effectively with its cloud-based technology, announced on Tuesday that it has secured $110 million in Series E funding. Clio has created a software platform for law firms and their clients that is both cloud-based and client-focused by design. The company’s platform aims to function as “an operating system” for lawyers, providing cloud-based legal practice management, client intake and legal CRM software. Clio boasts more than 150,000 customers across 100 countries. While many of Clio's users are smaller and solo practitioners, the company also serves larger firms like Locks Law and King Law.
2021. Legl gets $7M to help law firms upgrade to digital workflows

B2B SaaS startup Legl has secured $7M in Series A funding. From client onboarding workflow solutions to receiving payments more quickly, Legl’s tools assist law firms in thriving in a digital-first environment. Although law firms can have a reputation for being ‘reluctant’ to pursue efficiency improvements, given the business model of billing clients by the hour, Legl doesn’t interfere with the billable hour — attributing this as one of the reasons the SaaS has experienced such “rapid adoption” in a short time. Legl reports it is currently collaborating with around 100 UK-based law firms, including about a dozen of the top 200.
